What am I, as a singular person, suppose to do in Romania with the weight of what is happening in Ukraine? 

I run my mind around this question all the time since my squad and I arrived here a couple weeks ago. We jumped into the thick of it here at Hope Church Romania. Seven houses for long term Ukrainian Refugees, one home for transit families, loading convoy’s for the Ukraine border, and so many other fine details of logistics that serve way above my head for the incoming Ukrainians. There are so many things to be done daily, but even when adding eighteen more missionaries it felt as if the list was getting longer than shorter. HOW.

One day while my team was at one of the houses, preparing for 16 more refugees to come in a few hours, I began to ask God what more I could do. This ministry is hard, the emotional weights from the stories we hear, the fact that the region Craiova is in is 0.2% born again Christians, and the physically long days. Then to hear the turmoil with the stories, actually is devastating. I am saying all of this, but also I am going to turn back and say that I wouldn’t change it for the world. However, I have wondered what more is there from me that I can provide here. 

As I was asking, it became more clear. 

I can create something to SHOW YOU, by representing each of them, and the story of Hope Church Romania and the Ukrainian refugees. 

I can encourage you to be apart of what is happening here, and to help you see this with your own eyes in a personal way. 

I can invite you, because trust me… I do not want to endure this heavy emotional weight alone. 

So I promised part two, and that part two is ACTION. 

This is your invitation to act, to join in, to stand up with what it is that Hope Church Romania is specifically doing.
