Hello Month 10, and hello BIG BIG faith.

This month, LSquad is with Hope Church Romania, in Craiova Romania. Typically, this ministry branches out their serving arms in so many directions around this region of Romania. Youth Nights, A New Testament for Every Home, Roma Ministry, Equip-to-Equip discipleship, and always always hosting World Race teams to list a few.

Peep it’s LSquad.

This ministry, THIS CHURCH, focuses on helping the community in a plethora of ways. So when the war in Ukraine began, Raul did not hesitate to see the call as a neighboring country to act.

Quickly, Hope Church began to make border runs to pick up Ukrainian’s, and provide them refuge and safety here in Craiova. They had the faith to rent out one house for the Ukrainian families, and that one house quickly became eight. Housing short term, and 50 long term families consisting of mostly single moms with their children. These Ukrainian’s come from regions near Odessa, Mariupol, and Mykolaiv; and some are able to be coordinated for additional transport to other places in Europe. Hope Church has been able to help 500 refugees in this act alone!

There are more though, more families, more houses, more opportunities to act. Raul set the tempo for us right when we arrived, that this is only the beginning.

Here is just a glimpse at some of the tasks that we are able to help alleviate around the ministry.

The little details of tiding up the home before arrival of more Ukrainian families. This home specifically, can hold 30 incoming refugees.

Morning and afternoon wisdom and guidance from our incredible host Raul.

Our squad also has the honor to build relationships with the families in both the long term houses and the transit house. Making bracelets, and blowing out dandelions.

Many hands make light work when it is time to unload & load the vans for the Food Bank donations. We also help load up the convoy, which ultimately goes into Ukraine and partnered churches.

These days are long, for the physical body and for the soul. Physically walking miles at times to and from the houses, and then hearing these stories are unimaginable at times.

And when you hear the imaginable, the first step is to PRAY.

Prayer while we are doing these “little” yet big things for Hope Church.

Prayer for more houses, to be able to create a space for MORE Ukrainian’s.

Prayer for more drivers to help with the many hours of transport required to complete all these tasks.

Prayer for LSquad, for Hope Church missionaries, and for other missionaries that are assisting in the aid and support.

The next one is an action, and for that I have a video to hopefully depict this church.

  1. Dear God, PLEASE bring your Kingdom to earth! Pour out Your Holy Spirit on all mankind…that’s the only way war, strife, hunger, oppression, grief, and sadness will end. In Jesus’ name, amen.
